MSC Technology Italy is seeking a Data Engineer to join the EDMA Data Hub, a cross-functional team delivering an interconnected data platform for business users and products across domains. You will work in an international, collaborative environment in Torino, contributing to the company’s digitalization strategy.

The role focuses on building and optimizing data ingestion, transformation pipelines, and ensuring data quality while meeting SLAs.

Competenze

• Experience with Databricks and medallion architecture is required.
• Willing to be on call outside office hours a few times a year for support purposes.
• Nice to have knowledge of Kafka and MS Fabric is a plus.

Mansioni

• Build data ingestion and transformation pipelines with performant design.
• Pipeline orchestration – scheduling, fault-tolerance, retry logic, monitoring/alerting.
• Ensure data quality and SLAs are met across pipelines.

As a Data Engineer you will be part of MSC’s EDMA Data Hub team, an agile and global team delivering an interconnected data platform to serve business users and products across business domains.

Requisiti

The successful candidate will be an expert in working with big data.

Some responsibilities include:

• Building data ingestion, data transformation pipelines & ensuring they are performant/optimized
• Pipeline/process orchestration – scheduling/triggering, fault-tolerance, retry logic, monitoring/alerting
• Building data quality guarantees into the pipelines, ensures SLAs are met.

Required:

• Experience with Databricks
• Experience in implementing medallion architecture
• Willing to be on call outside office hours a few times a year for support purposes

Nice to have:

• Ingestion from distributed event streaming platform like Kafka
• Knowledge in MS Fabric

The position will be classified within the Employee category, at one of the C2, C3, B1 or B2 levels under the Italian Metalworking Industry National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria).

The classification level and any additional remuneration components supplementing the base salary will be determined based on an assessment, carried out during the selection process, of objective and neutral criteria such as, by way of example, the candidate’s professional experience, technical skills, level of autonomy and the responsibilities required by the role.
