MSC Technology Italy is seeking a Data Engineer to join the EDMA Data Hub, a global, agile team delivering an interconnected data platform to serve business users across domains.

You will work with big data technologies such as SQL, Python, Spark, Databricks, and data lake/warehouse architectures, building robust ingestion and transformation pipelines and ensuring data quality. The role involves collaboration across countries and occasional on-call support.

Qualificações

• Experience with big data technologies and Databricks.
• Knowledge of medallion architecture and data pipelines.
• Willingness to be on call outside office hours occasionally.

Responsabilidades

• Orchestrate pipelines with scheduling, fault tolerance, and monitoring.

As a Data Engineer you will be part of MSC’s EDMA Data Hub team, an agile and global team delivering an interconnected data platform to serve business users and products across business domains.

Requisiti

The successful candidate will be an expert in working with big data.

Some responsibilities include:

• Building data ingestion, data transformation pipelines & ensuring they are performant/optimized
• Pipeline/process orchestration – scheduling/triggering, fault-tolerance, retry logic, monitoring/alerting
• Building data quality guarantees into the pipelines, ensures SLAs are met.

Required:

• Experience with Databricks
• Experience in implementing medallion architecture
• Willing to be on call outside office hours a few times a year for support purposes

Nice to have:

• Ingestion from distributed event streaming platform like Kafka
• Knowledge in MS Fabric

In compliance with applicable pay transparency legislation, we provide the following information regarding the initial remuneration envisaged for this position.

The position will be classified within the Employee category, at one of the C2, C3, B1 or B2 levels under the Italian Metalworking Industry National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria).

The classification level and any additional remuneration components supplementing the base salary will be determined based on an assessment, carried out during the selection process, of objective and neutral criteria such as, by way of example, the candidate’s professional experience, technical skills, level of autonomy and the responsibilities required by the role.
