A leading technology company in Milan is seeking a Data Center Technician to join their expanding Infrastructure Operations team. The role involves diagnosing hardware and network issues, performing repairs, and ensuring operational integrity at AWS data centers. Candidates should have experience in IT hardware troubleshooting and possess a valid EU driving license for potential local travel. This position is 100% onsite, emphasizing a hands-on approach to manage critical infrastructure.
Amazon Data Services Italy S.R.L. is part of AWS Infrastructure Services, which designs, plans, delivers, and operates all AWS global infrastructure. In this role you will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, security experts, and operations managers to support all AWS data centers and ensure continued customer access to critical services.
We are looking for Data Center Technicians to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Data Center Technicians are the primary resolver of a wide range of datacenter infrastructure issues, including hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems. You will be part of the Data Center Operations (DCO) team, overseeing the operation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure and hardware for AWS Cloud regions. You will become the primary resolver for your support team, gaining troubleshooting skills on different hardware and software cases and engaging other solution groups for more complex problems.
Key Job Responsibilities
Local travel may be required up to 10% of the time. A valid EU driving license is required as data centers are located in remote areas outside Milan where public transport is limited.
Work Schedule: 100% onsite in‑person due to the hands‑on nature of managing mission‑critical infrastructure.
