A leading cloud services company located in Italy is seeking a Data Center Technician to resolve infrastructure issues and support data center operations. Candidates should have relevant certifications and a high school diploma, alongside the ability to troubleshoot hardware and networking problems. This role includes responsibilities in documentation and project execution within a team environment, typically requiring rotating shifts.

Competenze

• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles to deliver safety, security, and capacity at the lowest possible cost.

Responsibilities

As a Data Center Technician, you will:

• Resolve a wide range of datacenter infrastructure issues including hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems.
• Serve as a primary resolver for your support team and an escalation point for junior technicians.
• Maintain and create documentation on the technologies you support.
• Execute small projects independently and collaborate with your manager on larger local projects.

Shift and Physical Requirements

Shift work is required, including rotating 24/7 coverage with shifts up to 12 hours, 3‑, 4‑, or 5‑day work weeks, and up to 10% travel. You must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a cramped and/or elevated environment.

Basic Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma, or A+, CND, Network+, or Security+ certification.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT‑related field or equivalent professional or military experience.
• Desire and aptitude to learn – Learn and Be Curious.
• Network+, A+, Linux+ certifications.
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, and other commodity networking devices.
• Experience working in a Data Center environment: racking & stacking equipment, cable management.
