Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise invites experienced engineers to join the Resident Engineer team supporting a U.S. government customer in the Columbia/Ft. Meade area.

This full-time on-site role requires TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly and a solid background in data center networking. You will manage operations and maintenance of complex routing/switching environments, with Juniper hardware and automation skills (XML API, NETCONF, REST, gRPC).

Qualifications

• Engineering Design/Architecture, Operational, and Support experience in a medium to large scale data center network.
• Juniper and/or other vendor certifications a strong plus.
• Automation and DevOps knowledge a plus.
• Automation access methods: XML API, NETCONF, REST API, gRPC.
• Python tools: RPCs, REST, PyEZ, ncclient.
• Ansible: Playbooks and Jinja2 templates.
• Automation scripts: Commit, Op, Event, or SNMP scripts; Python and SLAX.

Responsibilities

• Operations and maintenance of a data center network.
• Deep understanding of routing and switching technologies and VPNs.
• Support Juniper products: QFX, MX, EX, SRX; professional experience optional.
• Collaborate with JTAC and customer engineers to resolve issues and implement solutions.
