Amazon Data Services Italy S.R.L. in Milan seeks a Data Center IT Manager to lead the Data Center Operations team in a 24/7 environment. You will mentor staff, sponsor projects, and develop technical solutions while managing on-site hardware and network diagnostics and on-call rotations.
You will create documentation, drive site-level projects, and ensure effective communication and prioritization within the team, delivering reliable data center services.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Operations Manager to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team in one of our sites in Milan.
We are currently expanding our infrastructure management team and are looking for proven technology managers with experience in people management, technical understanding, and the drive to take AWS Data Center Operations to the next level.
You have experience creating and devising strategies, mentoring people, sponsoring projects, and proposing technical solutions. You will manage teams in hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair and participate in an on‑call rotation. You are willing to work autonomously and manage your teams effectively. Work prioritization, organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to being successful. In addition, you will create documentation, innovate solutions, participate in site‑level project work, and fix complex problems within the Data Center Space. This team works in an environment that operates 24/7.
Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world‑class safety culture. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster a strong safety culture.
You will guide a team of technical professionals to support this work, as well as frequent engagement in the following activities:

The minimum gross base salary for this position is listed below. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full‑time basis. For part‑time hours, the salary will be pro‑rated.
Amazon reserves the right to offer a higher salary and/or level, depending on the candidate's skills, competencies, and experience. Amazon's package may include a sign on payment. In addition, the candidate may be eligible to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA.
Your recruiting team will share final salary and any restricted stock unit scheme if applicable, depending on skills and requirements.
In addition to statutory benefits, and those applicable to the relevant CBA, company supplementary benefits may apply subject to further terms.
