Adastra seeks a Data Analyst to collaborate with clients and internal teams in Bologna. You will understand business needs, perform data analysis, define mappings to the Data Warehouse, and ensure data quality across the environment.

The role requires leading client discussions, translating goals into data requirements, and mentoring team members while ensuring high data standards. Italian language fluency is essential, with Italy-based or Bologna-area residence preferred.

Location: Italy (Bologna area preferred or occasional travel to Bologna)

We are looking for a Data Analyst to work closely with clients and internal teams to understand business needs, analyze data, define data mappings, and ensure the accuracy and quality of data within the Data Warehouse environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead discussions with clients to understand their goals and translate them into data requirements.
• Analyze business requirements and define data mapping from source systems to the Data Warehouse (DWH).
• Present data analysis insights and explain complex data structures to clients in a clear and understandable way.
• Perform data profiling, exploratory analysis, and data validation to ensure data correctness.
• Define and maintain business logic, KPIs, and data definitions.
• Investigate data anomalies and collaborate with Data Engineers on issue resolution.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and the technical DWH team.
• Mentor other team members and ensure high standards of data analysis and data mapping.
• Proactively propose data-driven solutions and improvements to clients' business processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, DWH Analyst, or similar role.
• Proven experience leading client discussions and translating business goals into data requirements.
• Strong experience in business requirements analysis and data mapping from source systems to Data Warehouses.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) and T-SQL.
• Experience performing data profiling, exploratory analysis, and data validation to ensure data correctness.
• Experience defining and maintaining business logic, KPIs, and data definitions.
• Ability to investigate data anomalies and work closely with Data Engineers to resolve data issues.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex data structures to both business and technical audiences.
• Experience serving as the key point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Experience mentoring team members and promoting best practices in data analysis and data mapping.
• Proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Fluent Italian language skills are required.
• Based in Italy, preferably in the Bologna area, or willing to travel to Bologna occasionally.
