Un importante ente europeo cerca un Cloud Data Engineer per supportare la migrazione a un'infrastruttura dati cloud. Il candidato ideale ha una forte esperienza in Python e capacità di lavorare in team. Lavoro presso gli uffici richiesto per almeno 2 giorni alla settimana, con alcune possibilità di lavoro remoto. Offerta iniziale di 3 mesi con possibilità di estensione.

Competenze

• Eccellente conoscenza della lingua inglese (livello C1)
• Eccellente conoscenza di Python
• Esperienza pregressa nello sviluppo software, ingegneria dei dati e/o gestione di database

Mansioni

• Supportare la migrazione dei sistemi di raccolta dati legacy verso una nuova infrastruttura di gestione dati basata su cloud
• Sviluppare e ottimizzare script in Python per automatizzare validazione, trasformazione e migrazione dei dati
• Supportare l'integrazione dei dati da più fonti in un database unificato
• Condurre test e assicurare la qualità del nuovo ambiente

Would you be interested in joining the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) as an interim via Randstad Italia? If you have a good proficiency in English and previous experience in software development and/or data engineering, this could be your chance to work in a multicultural and dynamic environment.

We are looking for a Cloud Data Engineer to work in the Integrated Data Unit.

Responsabilità

The interim will:

• Support the migration from legacy data collection and database systems to a new cloud-based data management infrastructure;
• Develop and optimize Python-based scripts to automate data validation, transformation and migration;
• Support the integration of data from multiple sources into unified and reusable database;
• Conduct testing and quality assurance of the new environment.

Functie-eisen

Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of English (at least C1 level);
• Excellent knowledge of Python;
• Experience with Pyspark is considered an asset;
• Previous experience in software development, data engineering and/or database management;
• Behavioural competencies: ability to work with others, analysis and problem solving, drive for results.

Assignment: initial contract of 3 months, with possibility of extension. Expected duration of assignment 12 months.

Salary: approx. €2259 per month before taxes.

Work modalities: office work is required on at least 2 days per week. Remote work is possiblewithin 2 hours from EFSA's premises in Parma, Italy, for the remaining days.
