EPAM Systems in Milan is seeking a Data & AI Delivery Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of innovative data and AI solutions. In this hybrid role, you will orchestrate teams of human experts and AI agents, ensuring all projects align with client strategies and budgets.

The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in delivering complex data projects, a strong grasp of data engineering challenges, and excellent communication abilities to transform business requirements into effective analytical platforms.

We’re looking for a Data & AI Delivery Manager to join our team in Milan, Italy in a hybrid working mode. You will lead the end-to-end delivery of data, analytics and AI programs across our global clients and orchestrate hybrid teams of human experts and AI agents to deliver scalable, high‑quality data platforms, ensuring solutions align with client strategy, timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of data and analytics solutions.
• Govern delivery processes, quality and risk across hybrid human–AI workstreams.
• Serve as the primary point of accountability for delivery performance, escalations and scope management.
• Provide technical oversight to ensure scalable, secure and future‑proof data architectures.
• Build strong client relationships and support pre‑sales, proposals and solution design.
• Integrate AI agents into delivery workflows to improve speed, quality and operational efficiency.
• Guide teams in modern data engineering practices, including batch, streaming, ingestion, storage, processing and consumption.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering data and analytics projects in complex operational industries.
• Strong understanding of data engineering challenges and modern data platform architectures.
• Hands‑on familiarity with cloud‑native platforms such as GCP, Databricks, Snowflake and Kafka.
• Experience with predictive analytics, machine learning and agentic automation.
• Ability to lead hybrid teams and manage multi‑disciplinary stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of data security, governance and responsible AI principles.
• 5+ years translating business requirements into analytical platforms and actionable insights.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills, able to distil complex technical and business ideas into understandable terms for all stakeholders and teams.
• Ability to forecast and create roadmaps, adjusting with new information and changing business priorities, to achieve programme goals.
