Leonardo Belgium is seeking a Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Specialist to support a prestigious European institution in strengthening its resilience against emerging technology threats.

You will join a newly established, cross‑functional cybersecurity team focused on assessing and mitigating risks related to next‑generation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and post‑quantum cryptography (PQC).

This role sits at the intersection of threat intelligence, research, and security architecture, making it ideal for professionals who are curious about future cyber threats and want to work on forward‑looking security challenges in a scientific and innovation‑driven environment.

Job Specifications

• Location of Delivery : On‑site (Ispra, Italy)
• Remote work from a close location allowed for off‑site tasks
• Type of contract: Freelance
• Contract duration : Up to 720 days
• Urgent need : Early application heavily encouraged

As a Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Specialist, you will act as a key contributor to the development of emerging technology security capabilities, with a strong focus on anticipating and analyzing future threats.

You will:

• Develop and maintain forward‑looking threat intelligence related to emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, next‑gen attack vectors)
• Build and maintain a centralized threat modeling repository mapping risks to systems, assets, and projects
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analysis for innovative and research‑driven IT environments
• Collaborate with incident response teams, penetration testers, and IT departments to improve security posture
• Contribute to the design of resilient and secure architectures
• Produce security guidelines, recommendations, and technical documentation for stakeholders
• Present findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences

Experience / Education / Certification Requirements

• 6+ years of overall experience in ICT, including at least 3 years in cybersecurity
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification (minimum 2 years after secondary education)
• At least one certification in cybersecurity or threat intelligence (or equivalent experience)
