Overview

Siemens EDA is a global technology leader in Electronic Design Automation, providing software and hardware design solutions that help engineers create new and innovative electronic products. Our Global Support division is a key revenue driver and critical to customer satisfaction and success. We are seeking a dynamic Customer Support Engineer to provide professional support to external and internal customers using our PCB Design Flow software applications. You will be a key member of an award-winning EDA technical support team, committed to excellent support for customers, field personnel and team members. Some travel for work may be required. For this role we can support candidates with a degree in Electronics and a willingness to grow into the role (experience not essential). We can train you!

The hiring for this role is exclusively reserved for candidates registered in the protected categories L.68/99

Responsibilities
  • Collaboration with other support engineers and developing innovative methods to help customers adopt new technology.
  • Solving complex design issues as part of multiple projects you may work on at any one time.
  • Creation of well written knowledge base articles to enable customers to self-solve issues while continually expanding technical knowledge of PCB flow applications.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • BSEE or equivalent, with significant Electronics expertise, combined with proven experience in the PCB design process from schematic entry to layout/manufacturing (academic experience acceptable).
  • Ideally some experience with Siemens EDA Xpedition Enterprise flow applications; competitor applications are also suitable.
  • Knowledge of Virtual Basic Scripting desirable.
  • Very good command of and proficiency in spoken and written English with a strong customer service approach.
  • Ideally based out of Milan, but candidates in any Northern Italian city can be supported remotely.
