Customer Service Engineer – North of Italy (Lombardia)

Location: Preferably based in Lombardia

Contract: Full-time, permanent, company car

We are now looking for a proactive and technically skilled Customer Service Engineer to support our customers across Northern Italy. What You Will Do
Installation, Support & Troubleshooting
  • Perform on‑site installation, maintenance, qualification, and repair of laboratory instrumentation
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues, ensuring timely and effective support
  • Conduct software and firmware updates maintaining thorough documentation of all interventions
  • Deliver hands‑on training to users and ensure they can operate systems confidently
Customer Relationship & Communication
  • Act as a trusted technical partner to customers, ensuring their satisfaction and system performance
  • Maintain clear and regular communication, offering guidance and updates throughout service engagements
  • Work closely with internal teams and vendors to solve complex technical issues and align on customer needs
Service Development & Collaboration
  • Support the launch of new instruments and services, ensuring successful adoption in the field
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upgrades, consumables, or additional services
  • Represent PerkinElmer’s quality standards and service excellence in every customer interaction
Continuous Learning & Growth
  • Engage in ongoing training and certification programs to deepen your product knowledge
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in instrumentation and laboratory support
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Electronics, or equivalent technical experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in technical support, field service, or lab instrumentation
  • Experience with LC, ICP‑OES, or similar analytical instruments is highly valued
  • Previous work in laboratory settings (pharma, academia, clinical, research) is a strong plus
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset and autonomy in field operations
  • Solid communication skills and customer‑facing attitude
  • Professional level of English (written and spoken)
  • Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet) familiarity with CRM (e.g. ServiceMax) systems is a plus
  • Willingness to travel frequently across neighboring areas
