Cryo Project Manager Engineer

Reporting to the Corporate Head of Medical Systems and Services (MSS), the Cryo Project Manager Engineer will be responsible for the following activities related to the implementation of medical gas distribution systems and medical devices, Cryobanks and for the development of new services within hospitals:

  • Managing development projects for the optimization of internal processes.
  • Managing CryoManagement projects including the design, the cost analysis, installation, startup and validation of plants and devices.
  • Identifying, scouting, qualifying, evaluating and managing suppliers of components, devices, plants and services.
  • Constantly collaborating with corporate marketing and regulatory affairs departments for the development of new healthcare/CryoManagement products and services.
  • Managing projects for the implementation of medical systems and medical devices.
  • Coordinating technical personnel involved in projects, both in-house and outsourced.
  • Supporting the branch technical structure for the management and resolution of technical issues.
  • All other activities, including those complementary to the above, necessary for the development of the business lines they oversee.

Proven Experience

At least 5 (five) years of experience in the design, installation, testing, maintenance and validation of:

  • Medical Gas Distribution Systems
  • Cryobanks and Cryogenic Systems

In-Depth Knowledge of Regulations: Essential Thorough knowledge of national and European regulations specific to medical gases and cryogenic systems is essential, including:

  • UNI EN ISO 7396-1: For the design, installation, operation, performance, testing, delivery, and documentation of medical gas pipeline systems in healthcare facilities.
  • UNI EN ISO 7396-2: Medical gas pipeline systems - Part 2: Anaesthetic gas scavenging systems.
  • UNI EN 737-3: Pertaining to medical gas pipeline systems and their components.
  • UNI CEI EN ISO 20387: Biotechnology – Biobanking – General requirements for biobanking.
  • Medical Device Regulations: As cryogenic gases for cryotherapy and liquid nitrogen for cryopreservation are considered medical devices and require CE marking.
  • Safety Regulations: Related to the handling of compressed and cryogenic gases, risk management (hypoxia, flammability, etc.), and accident prevention.
  • Fire and Seismic Regulations: For the installation of cryogenic tanks and systems.

As a Technical Project Engineer, you will play an active role in shaping Caracol’s advanced engineering projects, contributing to the development and implementation of customized, high‑impact solutions for complex industrial applications.

You’ll work side by side with our R&D team, transforming ideas into real systems, from early design to on‑site commissioning. M-Cube is looking for a Project Manager to be inserted in the Operations & Delivery area and will be responsible for planning, leading, organising, and executing projects to reach the business goals, being able to motivate the project team for the best quality result.

She/He will frequently interact with the target customers to better define, plan and deliver the project/s tasks taking care of internal and external reporting as well. When requested, the new resource, can be committed to support other PM activities basing on the team needs.

She/he will also help the organization to set up internal and external meetings like Project Update Meeting, Steering Committee and Project Review.

While performing the above-mentioned activities the Project Manager will be expected to report all significant project information into the internal CMR and cloud computing software in order to guarantee the data accuracy for the whole organization which develop itself into an international environment.

Main Responsibilities and Goals

  • Define the project scope, objectives and schedule, ensuring timely and regular delivery of value.
  • Manage the project start‑up, planning, execution and closure, organizing available resources in compliance with time, cost and quality constraints.
  • Coordinate and align the different departments and external partners/subcontractors on the following activities:
  • Scheduling and procurement follow‑up
  • Preparation, configuration and shipment of goods
  • Content production and management
  • Installation and handover to the maintenance team

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma with proven experience in project management.
  • Solid project management skills (project scheduling, full project life cycle management).
  • Strong organizational, leadership and team‑building skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Fluent in English and Italian (both oral and written); additional languages will be considered a plus.
  • Technical knowledge of digital environments, AV equipment (screens, players, audio/video products) and basic IT networking.
  • Proficiency with enterprise and productivity software (Windows, MS Office, Google Drive, etc.).
  • Problem‑solving and troubleshooting orientation.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with flexibility in working hours and availability for business trips.
  • Experience in the Digital Signage market, multimedia and omnichannel solutions (DXPOne, Scala, BrightSign, Magic Info).
  • Knowledge of LED wall hardware.
