Job summary

Allianz Direct, part of the Allianz Group, invites you to join its Italian Finance team to help build actuarial processes for estimating loss reserves and technical provisions, and to monitor portfolio performance for the Italian Branch. You will work alongside the Chief Actuary to develop robust data capabilities and deliver accurate financial reporting.

• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Actuarial Sciences is required.
• Actuarial qualification (Italian or equivalent) is preferred.

You will be working within the Finance team supporting the Chief Actuary to develop the actuarial processes and data capabilities for estimating loss reserves and technical provisions, as well as monitoring the portfolio performance for the Italian Branch.

Key Responsibilities

• Loss reserving, technical provision estimation and support of Actuarial Function tasks for all the Line of Business particularly for the Italian Branch
• Develop and implement actuarial techniques with a view to ensuring adequacy of reserve levels and monitoring developments
• Work and collaborate cross-functional with Claims, Pricing, Planning and Controlling
• Support the development of the AZ Direct platform with regards to financial reporting

Qualification

• Succesfully completed studies in Mathematics, Statistics or Actuarial Sciences
• Italian Actuarial Qualification or similar
• Competency in MS Office, WTW ResQ, SQL, Python or R, VS Code and AI tools
• Fluent in English
• Fluent in Italian is a plus

Experience & Key Skills

• 2-3 years of P&C actuarial experience in loss reserving and technical provision calculation
• Solid analytical skillset
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• High level of reliability
• Open-minded towards new techniques and data investigation within a growing organization
• Motivation and curiosity to dig deeper into problems
• International working experience is a plus
