Job Description

The LV Connectors & Components Lead is responsible for the end‑to‑end development of low‑voltage components within the global core component team. This role ensures that components meet Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance (QCDP) targets throughout the product lifecycle. The position involves close collaboration with Tier‑2 suppliers, engineering teams, purchasing, quality and manufacturing to guarantee technical feasibility, robust design, and successful integration into the vehicle platform.

Main Mission
  • Lead the development of different tasks ensuring compliance with QCDP objectives.
  • Prepare and manage supplier consultation packages (Sourcing Packages).
  • Analyze supplier feedback and draft Technical Supplier Assessments (TSA).
  • Oversee component development and co‑development with suppliers, including APQP tracking.
  • Ensure technical feasibility, manufacturability, and design robustness.
  • Review DFMEA and support PFMEA execution.
  • Manage prototype deliveries and validation plans (DV, PV).
  • Ensure proper integration and definition of LV connectors & components into vehicle architecture.
  • Manage technical changes and related documentation.
  • Support assembly plants from pilot phase to launch.
  • Contribute to cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in crisis management and issue resolution.
  • Contribute to the drafting and improvement of technical policies and standards.
Main Activities and Responsibilities
  • Select and define properly LV connection systems according to device and vehicle requirements.
  • Ensure supplier compliance and manage design interfaces.
  • Lead design, validation, industrialization, and launch phases.
  • Functionally manage internal and external engineering designers.
  • Maintain alignment with project stakeholders regarding quality status, issue tracking, and deliverables.
  • Apply lessons learned and best practices across projects.
  • Improve and assess quality processes: DFMEA, APQP, PPAP, Risk Management.
  • Animate project reviews and milestone assessments with Tier‑2 suppliers and different stakeholders.
Qualifications and Main Competencies
  • Technical automotive background with strong knowledge of LV connectors and wiring harnesses (2D/3D design, industrialization, manufacturing).
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with STLA tools: PLM, Lesson Learned, Bulletin, Team Center, Enovia, Ispeed.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Problem‑solving and issue management skills.
  • Accountability, autonomy, proactivity, and target orientation.
  • Communication and presentation skills (written and spoken).
  • English language proficiency (written and spoken).
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in component development or engineering management within the automotive industry, especially in wiring harness or connector team.
  • In‑depth knowledge of automotive standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, USCAR).
  • Experience with root cause analysis and problem‑solving methodologies (8D, Six Sigma).
  • Excellent project management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and leadership.
