Vodafone Core IP Operations is seeking a technically focused engineer to sustain a large European IP network. You will work with an international team, tackle incidents, and drive automation to enhance reliability and delivery.

Key duties include maintaining service continuity, on-call incident management, cybersecurity compliance, and lifecycle management of IP technologies, with expertise in OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, and VPNs.

Competenze

• Hands-on experience with large IP networks and routing protocols.
• Familiarity with Cisco platforms such as ASR9K, Nexus 9K and NX-OS.

In this role you will operate within Vodafone’s Core IP Operations to sustain a large European IP network. You will collaborate with an international team and engage with ISPs and OTTs, applying routing, switching and automation to keep services reliable. You’ll tackle incidents, maintain cybersecurity compliance, and drive automation to improve delivery. This is a technically demanding, cross-functional role with a focus on impact, reliability and continual modernization.

• Ensure service continuity and meet SLA targets
• Provide 24/7 on-call support for incident and problem management
• Maintain cybersecurity compliance in line with CBS guidelines
• Oversee lifecycle management of IP technologies
• Develop automation tools to streamline operations and delivery
• Good knowledge of IP protocols: OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN
• Hands-on experience with Cisco platforms: ASR9K, Nexus 9K, NCS (IOS-XR, IOS-XE, NX-OS)
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins
• Understanding of SDN, NFV, and network security principles
• Cisco CCNA-level certifications (or equivalent training) are a plus
