About the job Controller - Fluent English

Company: Our client is a multinational company with over 60 years of history, well-known and recognized in the collectibles market. The company distributes in over 20 global markets, both through subscriptions and retail channels such as kiosks and bookstores.

Department: This role involves oversight of new business (new products) and the Hong Kong, Japan, Spain, Italy, Germany and UK geographical area. Flexibility and the opportunity to learn a variety of new skills are key components of this position.

Team Composition: The team consists of two people, you and your manager, and you will interact with various operational personnel and managers involved in all related areas. You will have contacts worldwide, including local references.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the structuring and updating of reporting databases.
  
• Analyze and interpret data to provide actionable insights.
  
• Collaborate with global teams and local references in various countries.
  
• Develop new control models for emerging business areas.
  
• Ensure timely management of all control-related deadlines.

Complexity and Opportunities of the Role:

• Update and structure databases for reporting files to highlight results, involving not just data entry, but also data interpretation.
• Purely a management control role; there are no administrative or accounting activities involved.
• Understanding the business, which is not straightforward: analyzing its technical characteristics requires comprehension of the business itself.
• Management of deadlines.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in income statement analysis.
• Degree in Economics, with a focus on business management closely related to controlling (income statement and similar areas).
• Proficiency in English 90% of written and oral communications will be in English. Italian is not required.

Location: Milan, with 2 days of smart working per week
