STMicroelectronics, Agrate Brianza site, is seeking a Mechanical Specialist within the Central Construction team to drive design, validation and installation of mechanical systems for new facilities in production plants. You will coordinate with contractors and internal disciplines to ensure time, cost and quality targets are met.

Candidates should hold a bachelor's in mechanical/energetic/nuclear engineering (master preferred) and have knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D modeling tools.

Competenze

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, energetic or nuclear engineering or other technically equivalent degree.
  • Master’s degree in mechanical/energetic/nuclear engineering or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience or knowledge of mechanical systems for microelectronics or pharmaceutical production sites.
  • Able to read and understand mechanical, electrical and instrumental schematics.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D modeling software (Revit, Navisworks, etc.).
  • Good analysis, problem solving, synthesis and reporting capabilities.
  • Good teamwork ability; Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken).

Mansioni

  • Define the basic design related to mechanical plants for new projects, supported by team leader.
  • Prepare the specifications for the mechanical discipline.
  • Validate the technical documentation and quotations provided by the Contractors.
  • Check and ensure that installation activities comply with specifications, safety and environmental rules and STMicroelectronics standards.
  • Ensure on-time execution of mechanical installation, with follow-up of works and deviations.
  • Lead weekly meetings with contractors and write MoM.
  • Provide necessary approvals of datasheet and contractors' documentation within the due date.
  • Be accountable for the usage of project management tools by contractors.
  • Participate in periodic meetings and stay updated on mechanical progress with suppliers and ST team.
  • Ensure collection of final documentation related to mechanical disciplines.

YOUR ROLE

You will be part of the Central Construction team, a worldwide team dedicated to the design and construction of the new infrastructure and facilities necessary for the manufacturing. You will join the team dedicated to the Agrate site, following all the phases of the new projects, from conceptual design to detailed design, construction, start-up and commissioning of the new facilities.

You will be part of the Mechanical team. As Mechanical specialist you will be in charge of following the activities of the packages related to the discipline ensuring to keep them aligned with time, quality and budget defined. You will be asked to collaborate with the team members and to ensure an efficient sharing of the information among the people of the team and with the other people of the Construction group. You will work to define the new projects needs according to the production tools requirements and, working with the other disciplines involved in the team, to provide all the information necessary to the possible Contractors to fulfill their scope. Your role of Mechanical specialist, includes the following main activities:

  • Define the basic design related to mechanical plants for new projects, supported by team leader
  • Prepare the specifications for the mechanical discipline
  • Validate the technical documentation and quotation provided by the Contractors
  • Check and ensure that the installation activities, carried out by contractor personnel, are compliant with specifications, safety and environmental rules and any applicable STMicroelectronics standard and good practices
  • Ensure the on-time execution of mechanical installation, with follow-up of works, highlighting any deviation versus the specifications and/or schedule
  • Lead weekly meetings with the assigned contractors and write detailed MoM
  • Provide the necessary approvals of datasheet and contractors' documentation within the standard due date
  • Be accountable for the usage of the available tools for project management by the contractors
  • Participate to periodic meetings and be constantly updated about mechanical activities progress with suppliers and STMicroelectronics team
  • Ensure the collection of final documentation related to the mechanical disciplines
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

Candidates that best fit this role should have/be:

  • (minimum) Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, energetic engineering, nuclear engineering or other technically equivalent degree
  • (preferred) master degree in mechanical engineering, energetic engineering, nuclear engineering or other technically equivalent degree
  • (preferred) experience or knowledge of mechanical systems for microelectronics or pharmaceutical production sites
  • (minimum) able to read and understand mechanical, electrical and instrumental schematics
  • (preferred) knowledge of Autocad and 3D modeling softwares (i.e. Revit, Navisworks, ...)
  • Good analysis, problem solving, synthesis and reporting capabilities
  • Good teamwork ability
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Good knowledge of English and Italian language both written and spoken

The expected salary range for this position is € 33.000– €45.000 gross annual salary (RAL), plus variable pay relevant for the role.

In accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and applicable Italian legislation, this compensation range has been determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including job responsibilities, required skills, relevant experience, qualifications, and market benchmarks. Placement within the range will depend on the candidate's profile and demonstrated competencies. The final offer will be made in compliance with the applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL), where relevant, and our internal compensation policies.
