Commissioning Engineer at Exergy ORC

EXERGY is the developer, engineer and producer of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) systems, featuring the innovative Radial Outflow Turbine. ORC systems generate power from renewable sources such as biomass, solar, geothermal and waste heat recovery, operating with higher efficiency and flexibility than traditional Rankine cycles.

Our company handles R&D, testing, engineering, project management and after‑sales service internally, and is part of China’s TICA GROUP, an international high‑tech group with an annual turnover of approximately 1 billion USD and more than 3,000 employees worldwide.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise on‑site commissioning activities, executing tasks by reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical diagrams, P&ID and schematics.
• Review technical documentation of existing client systems and machinery to understand their functions and purpose.
• Prepare and collect necessary site documentation such as commissioning site reports, daily and weekly reports, and commissioning checklists.
• Attend planned periodic meetings (daily, weekly, monthly, annual) with internal/external stakeholders and customers.
• Use knowledge of analog and digital circuitry to troubleshoot instrumentation to the component level and effect repairs of instruments, computer hardware and wiring.
• Use computer software to program controllers and analyze control loops.
• Provide technical advice and solve problems at site.
• Prepare/track commissioning schedules and communicate any adjustments to crew members and clients.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair on designated equipment.
• Act as the primary point of contact with customers and subcontractors during commissioning and warranty periods.
• Follow up on punch list resolution.
• Conduct training of plant operators for customer use.
• Report to the Engineering department about problems that may arise during commissioning and the warranty period.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in Energy, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in related roles, even limited, is a plus.
• Fluent in English, both written and oral.
• Willingness to travel abroad (the position will involve travel 70 % of the time).
• Good teamwork skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
