Market Opportunity: The ITALY market represents a significant scale and growth opportunity for Diageo over the next 5 years. Being the strongest second player in the Spirits category, Diageo is well placed to accelerate its market share growth and deliver upper quartile NSV and profit CAGR returns through to 2030. In order to unlock this performance, it is essential that Diageo has best‑in‑class commercial strategy and business effectiveness teams to deliver the NSV, market share and margin expansion goals.
Reports into the Commercial Director. The role will support mainly the Italian market but will also have close connections and collaboration with Global Sales to ensure market alignment to Global strategy, vision and best practice and DBS. Key stakeholders within the market include Channel & Sales directors, Sales managers and Activation Managers in each channel. No direct P&L responsibility, but the role influences growth opportunities across the full market P&L, ranging from improving the effectiveness of the RtC to deliver NSV upside via better outlet execution and improving the efficiency of the RtC to allow for re‑investment behind the best growth drivers. It also covers other business transformation projects that will impact the market P&L.
Lead a diverse team of professionals dedicated to commercial transformation efforts. Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to foster professional development within the team.
