A European organization is urgently seeking a remote Cloud DevOps Engineer in Ispra, Italy. For an European organization in Ispra, Italy, we are urgently looking for a remote Cloud DevOps Engineer.

EU candidates are welcome to apply. Candidates need to work max 5 days/Quarter in the Ispra office.

Work permit is not provided. Candidates need to be fluent in English.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Define configuration management and deployment strategies;
• Design and create cloud architecture blueprints;
• Build, maintain, and deploy CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab) on virtual machines;
• Produce and update software architecture and technical documentation;
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather needs and requirements;

Profile:

• +5 years of Cloud Engineer experience;
• Strong understanding of software and cloud architecture best practices, including microservices and application design;
• Proficient in Python;
• Solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies;
• Experience with DevOps principles and CI/CD processes (setup, maintenance, updates);
• Hands‑on experience with containerization and orchestration (OpenShift, Kubernetes), and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab runners, and Helm charts;
• Familiarity with repository planning and version control systems (Git);
• Ability to deliver clear business and technical presentations;
• Adaptability to fast‑evolving cloud technologies (on‑prem or public cloud);
