Your role as a Cloud Data Architect in NTT Data Gov & Tech involves supporting customers in Big Data projects, collaborating with business analysts and solution architects to understand use cases, data needs, and outcome objectives. You will be responsible for data acquisition, transformation, cleansing, conversion, compression, and loading of data into data lakes for analytics and machine learning models.

The Cloud Data Architect in NTT Data Gov & Tech understands the challenges of a cloud-native environment, is able to think outside the box to find innovative yet simple solutions, and shares these solutions with the team.

We seek an engineer who can bridge Data Science and Data Engineering, with a clear understanding of both fields.

If you are a Data Scientist seeking more experience in data preparation, or a Data Engineer interested in Data Science, you can join NTT Data Gov & Tech Business Intelligence Service Line as a Cloud Data Architect, in a culturally rich environment blending Japanese and European elements.

Required Skills

• At least 2 years of working experience in a cloud-native environment on one of the major public clouds (GCP, AWS, Azure), with a preference for Azure experience.
• Knowledge of Big Data architectures, both cloud and on-premise.
• Experience with Azure infrastructure and networking.
• Proven ability to build and deliver proofs-of-concept to address specific business needs using appropriate techniques, data sources, and technologies.
• Experience migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud environments.
• Experience monitoring distributed infrastructure using Azure tools or open-source tools like Grafana or Prometheus.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and Kanban.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and other Azure ETL/ELT tools.
• Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, or equivalent in other cloud providers like AWS, Oracle, or GCP.
• Preferred additional skills: other Big Data certifications (e.g., Cloudera, Databricks), experience with non-Azure ETL/ELT tools (Talend, Oracle Data Integrator, Informatica PowerCenter), and data visualization tools (PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau).
