GSK is seeking a Programmer in Siena, Italy, to design, build and validate programming solutions that convert clinical and real‑world data into clear results. You will partner with statisticians, data scientists and study teams in an agile environment to influence study decisions and ensure high‑quality outputs.

Fluency in Italian and English is required, with experience in SAS, SQL and data standards. This permanent, full‑time role offers hybrid work and a comprehensive benefits package.

Competenze

• Degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, life sciences, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Practical programming experience in a regulated environment (pharma/biotech/CRO).
• Experience with scripting or languages like R or Python.
• Familiarity with clinical data standards (CDISC SDTM/ADaM) or transforming complex datasets.
• Experience producing validated outputs and code reviews/QA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Fluent Italian and English, both written and spoken.

Mansioni

• Develop, test and document code to transform, analyze and report clinical/observational datasets.
• Produce validated datasets, tables, listings and figures meeting standards and timelines.
• Support SDTM, ADaM and reporting activities, including study/program development and review.
• Review and quality check code, outputs and documentation for accuracy and reproducibility.
• Collaborate with statisticians, data scientists and study teams on analysis plans.
• Assist in introducing improved tools, automation or coding patterns in an agile setting.
