The United Nations Secretariat in Brindisi is seeking a Claims Assistant to support the Claims and Property Survey program within the Property Management Unit. You will serve as the administrative point for the Local Claims Review Board and Local Property and Survey Boards, preparing and presenting cases, tracking recommendations, and ensuring compliance with UN rules and regulations.

Competenze

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A certificate in Property Management, Fixed Asset Management, or data/business analytics is desirable.
• A minimum of seven years of progressive experience in claims and property survey, legal, or paralegal functions is required.
• This requirement is reduced to five years for candidates with a first-level university degree.
• Experience in property write-off and disposal is desirable.

• Prepare and present cases to the LPSB and CRB, providing clarifications and tracking recommendations.
• Provide administrative support to the CRB Chairperson and disseminate approved recommendations to relevant parties.
• Prepare and review Administrative Write-off cases, verify documentation accuracy, and ensure compliance with UN regulations.
• Analyze compensation claims, manage accident and incident reports, investigate third-party claims arising from traffic accidents or property occupancy, and maintain contact with insurance companies and relevant offices.
• Update databases, arrange site visits for evidence clarification, manage property survey write-off and disposal transactions using Umoja, and prepare statistical reports on claims and write-off cases.
