STMicroelectronics Italia is seeking an early-career to senior materials/physics/electronics specialist to design and qualify pad/pad over active structures for Smart Power processes. The role involves thermo-mechanical simulations and close collaboration with designers to ensure reliable structures.

You will coordinate CPI validation activities and work with EWS, assembly, and reliability tests across multiple platforms, aiming at robust, manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications

• Master degree in material science, physics or electronic eng or similar.
• Knowledge of FE and BE technology steps and features.
• Good knowledge of Excel, Office suite, FEM tool.
• English business proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Develop new pad/pad over active structures for all Smart Power processes and to qualify them through dedicated tests in EWS, assembly and reliability according to standards, failure mode knowledge matrix and mission profiles, in order to release to the designers reliable structures.
• Coordinate the activities aimed to validate the CPI of new Smart Power Technology Platforms/Modules.
• Perform thermo-mechanical simulations (FEM) of chip-package interactions and to assist the design of new pad/pad over active structures to improve their mechanical robustness.

The expected salary range for this position is €38,000 – €45,000 gross annual salary (RAL).

In accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and applicable Italian legislation, this compensation range has been determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including job responsibilities, required skills, relevant experience, qualifications, and market benchmarks.
