Childcare Lead Educator | Sale

Journey Early Learning is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Lead Educator to join our Sale team in providing a safe and stimulating environment which meets the social, cultural, emotional, educational and physical needs of the children and encourages parent and community participation.

Centre Overview

At Journey Early Learning Sale, you’re not only part of a team; you’re part of a family dedicated to giving children a strong start in life. We are a 110 place Centre serving children from six weeks to six years, creating learning environments that are more than classrooms—they’re magical spaces where imaginations thrive, friendships form, and young minds bloom.

But the heart of Journey Sale goes beyond the walls of our centre. We are deeply connected to the Sale community, taking pride in fostering bonds between our children and their surroundings. Our team actively engages with the local community, instilling a sense of familiarity and respect for the environment that every child will carry with them.

About the role

This is a Permanent part-time opportunity across Monday to Friday in our Toddler room.

As our Lead Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and educational experiences for the children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Lead, develop and implement engaging, high-quality educational programs
  • Mentor and support educators to plan and deliver meaningful learning experiences.
  • Oversee and approve centre Storypark posts
  • Foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity
  • Provide constructive feedback to educators to promote continuous improvement and a culture of positive change
  • Collaborate with families to ensure each child’s learning journey is supported and enriched
About you

You are a creative and inspired early childhood educator with a passion to lead and develop age specific programs and daily routines. You will be a collaborative member of the team, working to build strong relationships with Educators, children, and families.

Key skills and requirements
  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or actively studying towards one.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Certificates
  • Current Child Protection Training Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
  • Approved working with children Check
  • Demonstrated passion for nurturing the next generation of learners
  • Experience in leading curriculum development with a focus on play-based learning and holistic education
  • Strong written communication and literacy skills, with the ability to document and communicate educational progress effectively
  • An ability to provide feedback that fosters professional growth and a positive team culture
  • High-level time management skills to effectively balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative mindset, committed to working as part of a community of learners
