We’re looking for a Chartered Accountant (Dottore Commercialista) with solid experience in Italian freelancer taxation to support Xolo’s operations in Italy. You’ll be responsible for helping our clients, mostly professionals and sole proprietors, remain compliant with tax and accounting regulations, while delivering expert support during onboarding and throughout their journey with Xolo.
The ideal candidate has extensive hands‑on experience, including but not limited to the flat‑rate scheme (regime forfettario) and the simplified regime (regime semplificato), foreign income, double taxation, Intrastat, and is comfortable operating platforms like Entratel, Telemaco, and TS Digital. You'll work closely with our international team and contribute to improving internal processes and the Xolo product itself.
Guiding our customers through the Italian tax landscape, with a focus on freelancers and sole proprietors operating under the regime forfettario, regime semplificato, or any other.
Advising clients on tax-related topics during onboarding and throughout their time with Xolo, offering clear and practical guidance.
Assisting with voluntary settlements or corrections for late tax payments or compliance issues.
Collaborating with internal teams and participating in regular syncs to ensure seamless service delivery.
Contributing your insights to help shape and improve our Italian platform and operational workflows.
Maintaining accurate client records across platforms such as TS Digital and other internal tools.
Preparing and filing all required tax documents, including (But not limited to) quarterly VAT reports, Intrastat declarations, and annual income tax returns.
Handling all essential registrations with public bodies such as VAT, INPS, INAIL, and the Chamber of Commerce, based on the client’s business structure and needs.
Degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
3+ years of experience working with Italian tax compliance and freelancer accounting.
Qualification as Dottore Commercialista (Dr. Commercialista) in Italy.
Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken, C1 or above).
Excellent knowledge of the Regime Forfettario and Semplificato and standard freelancer tax obligations.
Strong understanding of VAT rules, INPS obligations, and cross-border invoicing.
Ability to communicate complex tax topics in simple terms to non-accountants.
Proficiency with accounting tools.
