Are you an experienced commercial pilot with Flight Instructor ratings? Are you seeking new professional challenges? Does the idea of shaping the next generation of aviators excite you?

If you answered "yes" to these questions, you might be the perfect fit for Urbe Aero Flight Academy. We’re currently looking for passionate and qualified Flight Instructors (FI) to join our team at Rome Urbe Airport, Italy. The role is available on a part-time or full-time basis.

As a Flight Instructor reporting to the Chief Flight Instructor (CFI), you will be responsible for delivering both theoretical and flight training to cadet pilots in English, in accordance with the academy’s standards, procedures, and policies.

Main Responsibilities
  • All training activity will be compliant with EASA regulations and academy standards, policies, and procedures;
  • To act in accordance with the academy’s Safety Management System;
  • To conduct a pre‑flight briefing and post‑flight debriefing for each flying lesson;
  • Organize and manage the entire training process ensuring training efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Hold a valid and current Commercial Pilot License, license ratings, class 1 medical certificate, and all necessary renewals/revalidations;
  • Participate in academy public events (open days, training fairs, job fairs).
Qualifications & Requirements
  • A strong attitude towards Safety of Flight Operations;
  • A strong passion for Training;
  • Hold an EASA CPL/IR or ATPL license with an FI, or IRI, or CRI rating;
  • IRI rating or CRI ME rating is an added value;
  • Minimum 500 hours total flight time;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Have the right to reside and work in the European Union without any restriction;
  • Excellent teaching and learning and interpersonal relationship skills;
  • A cooperative and welcoming attitude.
Location

Urbe Aero Flight Academy in Roma, Italy based at the Aeroporto Roma Urbe (LIRU), a tower controlled and general aviation only city airport.

Compensation
  • Self‑employment agreement also available (on request);
  • Remuneration package based on the candidate’s education, experience, and instructor ratings.
