Music Ministry International seeks a Roman Catholic Coordinator of Religious Education (CCRE) for NSA Napoli. You will lead the total Catholic RE program from Pre-K through adult, under AMS guidance, and work with Chaplains and volunteers.

You must hold an AMS Catechist Certificate or commit to obtain within 90 days, possess a degree or four years of church program experience, and show knowledge of Catholic doctrine. Expect up to 25 hours weekly and strict safety/background checks.

• Legal status to reside in Italy and work for US forces in Italy.
• Speak conversational English.
• Possess basic proficiency with computers and software.
• Have sufficient professional abilities and human relations skills to manage a religious program, including recruiting, training, and leading volunteer teachers and religious education assistants.
• Possess a current AMS Catechist certificate or obtain it within 90 days of contract award.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, or have at least four years documented experience with religious programs.
• Knowledge of Roman Catholic doctrines and of Catholic Religious Education and a professional working knowledge of current Roman Catholic educational texts, material and literature.

Mansioni

• Assist the Catholic Chaplain (CDRE) in providing a total Roman Catholic Religious Education Program from levels Pre-K to High School.
• Advise the Catholic Chaplain on resources for the religious education program including books, videos, DVDs, catechists support and training.
• Maintain statistical program data and provide to the Catholic Chaplain after each RE event.
• Attend weekly Religious Ministries Department staff meeting and meet weekly with the Catholic Chaplain.
• Plan, organize and execute the CCD program including: advertising the RE program for enrollment, conducting orientation workshops, coordinating events, and providing sacramental preparation programs.
• Identify and report maintenance issues in spaces utilized for CCD and other RE events.
• Assist with annual Catholic Kids’ Camp and Nativity Play logistics.
• Oversee recruiting of children and volunteers, coordinating practice, and managing logistics for CCD activities.
• Open and secure facilities before/after CCD classes.
• Establish a CCRE schedule not to exceed 25 hours per week.
• Report safety hazards or emergencies to the Catholic Chaplain.
• Keep supply cabinets stocked and report needs.
• Assist with food purchases for RE events and coordinate with RP.
• Prepare an annual CCD calendar.
• Notify Chaplain 7 days before planned time off.
• Submit ministry metrics and time logs.
