Role Overview
The Buyer & Merchandiser will lead the development and execution of balanced, cohesive product assortments that reflect the Brand vision and emerging trends. The role partners with Planning, Retail, VM, ECOM, and Store Teams to ensure key investments, best‑sellers, and seasonal styles are promoted effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide weekly & monthly Omni‑channel trade reporting and lead ownership of category trade performance.
- Collaborate with Planning to optimize product performance from demand, markdown, and stock intake.
- Partner with the WHSL Buying Manager on lifecycle and end‑to‑end product management across the region.
- Develop an Omni‑channel mindset using Webapp, Boss, and Hero; ensure accurate buying, planning, and allocation.
- Visit stores and key accounts regularly to gain deep market insight.
- Deliver Regional “End‑of‑Month” product feedback and strategy direction focused on DTC business input.
- Act as a product ambassador, delivering clear product focus and messaging across all channels.
- Build strong partnerships with Corporate to align global and regional requirements.
- Collaborate with Planning to build seasonal financial plans and define assortment architecture.
- Continuously monitor the market and competitors through comp shops and visits to keep the collection relevant.
- Leverage CRM insights to refine product strategies and identify emerging trends.
- Reduce SKUs and plan SKU counts at delivery month versus season level for better alignment.
- Work closely with Management to reevaluate regional pricing and maintain brand positioning.
- Focus on winning the “New‑On‑Sale” objectives and protecting the NOOS goal.
- Drive markdown strategies to hit sales versus plan targets.
- Coordinate with Marketing for launch briefs and with ECOM and VM teams to maximize sales.
- Develop junior team members and continually refine department efficiencies.
Candidate Requirements
- 6+ years of buying experience in luxury or high‑end fashion retail.
- Strong fashion eye and passion for product.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency.
- Experience in multiple currencies is a plus.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Awareness of regional customer profile and ability to incorporate this insight into decisions.
- Creative with strong commercial acumen.
- Initiative, self‑motivation, and ownership; confident, mature, and reliable attitude.
