Baralan is seeking a Purchasing Department professional to manage supplier relationships across regions, oversee order placement, and align purchasing with stock forecasts and sales plans.

You will collaborate with Quality, Warehouse and Sales to ensure timely delivery and optimal goods flow, while supporting intercompany relations and continuous process improvements.

Competenze

• 2–3 years in a similar role in multinational companies.
• English proficient; Chinese a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.

- The purpose of this role is to manage activities related to the Purchasing Department within its areas of responsibility and to achieve the satisfaction goals of the Company and of colleagues who interact with the department.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with suppliers (Italian, European, and Asian suppliers of plastic products and accessories, as well as subcontractors for outsourced manufacturing) through careful planning and order placement, monitoring of their price lists, verification of lead times, and control of warehouse inventory;
• Monitor and report to the Purchasing Department any changes or shortcomings in supplier performance, while also flagging any inefficiencies to the relevant internal sales team;
• Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to develop purchasing strategies for key products and products to be held in stock, including the scheduling of orders and the flow of pickups, synchronizing these activities with sales forecasts and the volumes reported by the sales team;
• Oversee relationships with group companies regarding suppliers, managing orders through to containerization and supporting the Intercompany Relations Manager;
• Coordinate with other departments (Quality, Warehouse, Sales) to resolve issues related to the suitability of ordered goods and the inflow/outflow of goods to ensure compliance with delivery dates;
• Collaborate with various departments to improve and align processes and the flow of information within the company.

Requirements and skills

• At least 2–3 years of experience in a similar role within well-established companies operating in a multinational context;
• Proficiency in English; proficiency in Chinese is a plus;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
• Ability to work in a team, flexibility, and a results-oriented, goal-driven approach.
