Competenze

• Esperienza di 2-3 anni come Specialista di Categoria o Buyer in un centro acquisti.
• Buona conoscenza dei principali KPI di categoria e dei processi di negoziazione.
• Sensibilità forte ai prodotti freschi e alla qualità della catena di fornitura.

Mansioni

• Analizzare i dati di vendita e le tendenze di mercato per ottimizzare l'assortimento.
• Collaborare con fornitori per definire condizioni commerciali e lanci di nuovi prodotti.
• Aggiornare le liste di prezzi e le schede prodotto.

Overview

Buyer GDO Ortofrutta role at Universo | Working Digital Company. Position based in Milan, full‑time Monday‑Friday schedule. Universo is a leading GDO that values quality, innovation and a full assortment of fresh and local products. The role is a direct to permanent opening, with a short interim in a temporary or staff‑leasing arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Analyze sales data, margins, rotations and market trends to optimize the category assortment.
• Support the definition of the assortment plan and the promotional plan in line with the company objectives.
• Collaborate suppliers to negotiate commercial conditions, promotions and launch of new products.
• Monitor product performance and propose corrective actions to improve profitability.
• Update pricing lists, product sheets and article master data.
• Coordinate with the marketing team to develop communication and merchandising activities in the store and online.
• Support the definition of price strategies and competitive positioning.
• Negotiate strategically the purchase price lists and commercial conditions.
• Manage and formalize the documentation related to framework agreements with suppliers.
• Conduct negotiations at level I and II to optimize the assigned purchasing perimeter.

Qualifications

• High‑school diploma in agrarian, agricultural, food or economic disciplines (or equivalent).
• At least 2–3 years of experience as Category Specialist/Buyer specialist in a buying center or GDO.
• English language knowledge B2 or higher.
• Good knowledge of main IT packages (Office and Google Workspace).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in agrarian, agricultural, food or economic disciplines (or equivalent).
• Good knowledge of commercial dynamics, main category KPIs and negotiation processes.
• Excellent negotiation, organizational and relational skills.
• Strong sensitivity to fresh products and supply chain quality.

• Initial entry in a temporary assignment or staff‑leasing, with the possibility of a permanent direct opening.

• RAL up to 45,000 euros (pro-rated to seniority).
