For a prestigious international architectural firm in Milan, we are looking for a Business Development Officer with a VAT number.
Responsibilities
- Researching and monitoring public and private tenders and other business opportunities in line with strategic goals
- Coordinating with the in-house Tender Office, particularly for the management of invited competitions, private tenders, and unsolicited applications
- Completing pre-qualification questionnaires (RFQ/PQQ) and supplier registration forms aimed at generating new business opportunities
- Analyzing and evaluating Requests for Proposals (RFPs, RFQs, etc.) to support the New Business team in meeting deadlines and requirements
- Drafting and assembling technical and financial proposals, including attachments such as references, fee breakdowns, and resource schedules, in coordination with internal stakeholders and external consultants
- Updating Business Development databases (CRM, projects, consultants, contacts)
- Supporting the organization and maintenance of the Business Development archive (case studies, methodological reports, etc.)
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Law, Economics, or related fields
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within architectural or engineering firms, or companies managing complex bids
- Proven ability to manage the full tender process, from opportunity analysis to submission
- Strong understanding of public procurement regulations and private bidding procedures
- High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel; experience with tender platforms and document management tools is an advantage
- English fluency is mandatory (spoken and written)
- A strong inclination towards digitalization and proficiency with data and workflow tools such as Power BI, Airtable, and similar platforms is highly valued

We offer a freelance collaboration (with a VAT number) with a salary range of €40,000 - €45,000.
