About the Role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to work in Rome on a fixed‑term contract (12 months). This is a founding role within a growing, well‑funded company that partners with Italy’s premium restaurants. You will report to the Sales Lead and focus on building new restaurant relationships across your region.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Map, prospect, pitch, and close new restaurants within your region in an organized, area‑level fashion.
  • Support partners in joining Deliveroo and provide the best experience to them.
  • Communicate with restaurants via visits, email, calls, or social media to demonstrate Deliveroo technology.
  • Help restaurant owners/managers overcome any barriers or hesitations.
  • Attend restaurant and food meet‑ups.
Requirements
  • Comfortable targeting new business and proven sales experience.
  • Confidence dealing with partners/customers face‑to‑face, phone, or email.
  • Experience demonstrating product and industry knowledge to clients.
  • Comfortable with negotiation.
  • Knowledge of the restaurant industry is a significant plus.
  • Tenacious drive to achieve results.
