About The Role

We are looking for Business Development Managers based in Rome to be hired on a fixed-term contract. This is a rare opportunity to become a founding member of a growing, well‑funded company. You will collaborate with Italy's most premium restaurants and, reporting to the Sales Lead, focus on developing new relationships with restaurants and stores.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Map, prospect, pitch and close new restaurants across your region in an organised fashion, becoming an area‑level expert on up‑and‑coming restaurants.
  • Support partners in joining Deliveroo, providing the best experience to them.
  • Communicate (physical visits, email, calls or social media) with restaurants to demonstrate Deliveroo technology.
  • Help restaurant owners/managers overcome any barriers or hesitations.
  • Attend restaurant and food meet‑ups.
Requirements
  • Comfortable with targeting new business and with Sales experience.
  • Confidence in dealing with partners/customers face‑to‑face, by phone or email.
  • Experience in demonstrating product and industry knowledge to clients.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of the restaurant industry is a significant plus.
  • Tenacity and persistence.
Selection Process
