This Position reports to: Sales Manager

Responsibilities
  • For our Process Analytics sales unit, especially in the field of continuous water analysis (CWA), we are looking for an experienced business development manager strategically developing our CWA business in process industries in Germany and Switzerland.
  • You are a professional with deep knowledge in this market and like to broaden our installed base in established industries and develop new markets.
  • Together with our front-end sales team you can make a difference in this position and drive things forward - provided that you also like to think outside the box.
  • In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:
  • Expanding existing business by investigating new and existing market potential, thus developing the area to ensure long term growth of order income, and developing profitable sales revenues.
  • Developing & regulating update of sales and marketing strategy for target products and target customers.
  • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.
  • Proactively establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promoting customer understanding of full product/systems/services offering and aligning to provide a solution.
  • Liaising with the proposals team to ensure quotations & supporting material relative to the activity are produced in a timely & customer focused manner.
  • Forecasting sales activity.
  • Analyzing variances to budget and identifying actions to remedy any shortfall.
  • Expert support for our front-end sales team in Italy & Spain.
Qualifications For The Role
  • You are a graduate in chemistry, physics, electrical engineering, or process engineering. Alternatively, you have completed a vocational degree as a technician.
  • You have senior-level experience in sales and business development, with a proven track record in process analytics (PAT), particularly in sectors such as water & wastewater, utilities, chemicals, and other process industries in Italy and Spain.
  • You have deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Colorimetric and Ion Selective Monitors, Turbidity & Suspended Solids, Conductivity, pH, Dissolved Oxygen, Sodium, and other related technologies.
  • You are at ease communicating in both English and Italian, and Spanish would be an advantage.
  • You have strong IT skills, especially with the MS Office suite and CRM tools.
  • You are comfortable with frequent travel.
