Responsibilities include executing the commercial policy, building customer relationships, and managing agency activities. Business Development Manager – Italy (Bergamo)

We are looking for a driven, experienced, and dedicated Business Development Manager to expand our lighting business in Italy.

Qualifications
  • Lighting knowledge
  • Technical and commercial skills
  • Well‑balanced tactical and operational skills
  • Customer‑focused with passion for excellent service
  • Practical, hands‑on mentality
  • Clear verbal communication, including empathy and conciseness
  • Persuasive sales skills and ability to influence
  • Experience with Salesforce (nice to have)
  • Experience with basic Microsoft programs (Excel, Word)
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Result‑oriented, determined, hunter‑mindset
  • High energy, enthusiastic, self‑starter
  • Ability to execute
Responsibilities
  • Execute the commercial policy for the professional lighting channel
  • Build coverage in the assigned region, supporting and monitoring agencies' work in the territory
  • Build a business case with the Country Manager and Head of Sales for business expansion in the region
  • Find and develop new customers (installers, contractors, end users)
  • Develop new projects and report in Salesforce, keeping track of activities
  • Serve as the Italy reference for trainings to agencies and customers
  • Serve as the Italy reference for the BLE system, working with agencies to present it to customers and with HQ to develop the system
  • Gather and analyze market information and communicate with Opple marketing team
  • Meet targets and budget
  • Manage internal relationships between channels and departments
