As our Brand Manager META+, you'll be at the forefront of defining tactical plans and implementing marketing activities to achieve business objectives.

Reporting to Alexion’s Franchise Lead, you'll tailor disease and product strategies to optimally enter and grow a diverse portfolio of products at various lifecycle stages. With therapeutic areas ranging from Rare Tumors to Endocrinology, Bone, and Metabolic diseases, you'll contribute to designing disease strategies and strive for executional excellence in operationalizing initiatives.

Accountabilities
Strategic Leadership & Market Intelligence
  • Co‑lead therapeutic area market analysis and patient journey mapping with Franchise Lead.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research including competitive analysis, trends, and scenarios.
  • Identify strategic opportunities and business challenges.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Planning
  • Partner with Field Force, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, Finance, and Value & Access teams.
  • Coordinate integrated pre‑commercial and commercial activities aligned with disease strategy.
  • Collaborate with Global/Regional counterparts on strategy development and implementation.
Financial Management & Performance
  • Develop revenue KPI models and monitor investment performance using data‑driven insights.
  • Manage therapeutic area budgets and resource allocation.
  • Ensure end‑to‑end project execution and prioritization.
Commercial Execution & Field Support
  • Drive innovative sales programs with National Sales Lead and Regional Account Managers.
  • Develop training materials and support field personnel engagement.
  • Create local marketing materials and manage promotional agencies.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communications
  • Lead Opinion Leader and key stakeholder engagement programs.
  • Develop multichannel communication strategies aligned with brand objectives.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional brand teams and track implementation outcomes.
Compliance & Values
  • Role model company values with focus on 360° compliance and ethical decision‑making.
  • Ensure adherence to regulations while prioritizing patient needs.
  • Apply ‘right thing to do’ approach in all business decisions (“should we do it?” rather than “may we do it?”).
Essential Skills/Experience
  • University degree in science or business/economics, or relevant combinations of academic degree and experience.
  • 5+ years previous marketing experience in a pharmaceutical environment with proven autonomy and outcomes.
  • Solid scientific background.
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in Italian and English (a must‑have), both written and spoken, adaptive to a variety of counterparts from Top Management to more operational colleagues to global/international teams.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to coordinate and drive complex projects through the matrix.
  • Ease in cross‑functional context and ability to build team relationship and collaborate in a global environment at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in budgeting/budget management.
  • Highly customer‑focused and results‑driven.
  • Strategic thinking & business acumen.
  • Growth mindset and innovation‑attentive.
  • Domicile in Lombardy.
Desirable Skills/Experience
  • Experience in product launches (both pre‑commercial readiness and post‑launch acceleration).
  • Experience in pediatrics and/or rare disease field represents an added value, as would be experience in the specific therapeutic areas of META+.
  • Experience in forecasting.
  • Track record of attention to continuous process improvement.
  • Ability and experience in aligning objectives and priorities across functions.
  • Digital proficiency and curiosity.
