Job Description

We are currently seeking a Store Director to lead the Lighthouse Store based in Milan.

Role Mission

The Store Director role has the mission to lead our prestigious Lighthouse store in Milan, drive the business, manage and motivate a large and diverse team, create a unique client experience to reach sales goals and optimize productivity. This role requires a visionary and dynamic leader with strong business sense, deep expertise in luxury retail, business development, and client engagement.

As Ambassador of Bottega Veneta in one of the world’s most exclusive boutiques, the Store Director will drive sales, elevate the client experience, and inspire a team to uphold the brand’s legacy of craftsmanship and excellence.

Key Accountabilities
Driving Sales
  • Guarantee the achievement of quantitative Sales and Clienteling targets implementing strategic action plans, identifying client and VIC opportunities
  • Maximize the business potential of the store and sales by department (category) monitoring key business metrics, including KPIs, sell-through rates, and product performance, ensuring alignment with Company strategy
  • Monitor products sell through, assessing trends of best sellers and reacting to stock levels in the store providing commercial proposals and participating to buying
  • Facilitate implementation of product/ sales strategies participating and driving the Store buying strategy
  • Drive the team to be daring by ensuring they cross sell and use selling techniques to maximize opportunities
  • Maintain a luxury environment, ensuring excellent execution and maintenance of Visual Merchandising guidelines across the store
Client Experience
  • Represent Bottega Veneta fully, and reflect an elevated brand image while always managing VIC initiatives to create connections and develop a strong client portfolio
  • Foster strong, long-term relationships with top clients, VIPs, ensuring a personalized luxury experience
  • Lead Clienteling initiatives, oversee exclusive events, private appointments, and bespoke services to strengthen customer loyalty
  • Help the team to create an engaging and emotional client experience offering best in class service in alignment with Company standards
  • Manage client feedback, addressing concerns and ensuring seamless resolution to enhance satisfaction
People Management
  • Attract, recruit, and onboard a high-performing team.
  • Cultivate a highly engaged, passionate, knowledgeable, and client-centric team.
  • Foster a welcoming environment that values and amplifies each individual's uniqueness, creating a strong sense of belonging.
  • Engage and motivates the team to strive towards a common goal and help the team exceeds results by coaching, supporting, influencing, and delegating.
  • Monitor, coach and provide feedback to the store team to deliver excellent customer experience
Store Operations
  • Ensure store compliance with company procedures, policies, inventory control, and Health & Safety requirements, setting the example for the team and ensuring store staff are informed and trained.
  • Guarantee compliance with all administrative, financial, and operational procedures, working closely with Corporate stakeholders.
  • Review all store processes to ensure an exceptional customer experience throughout the customer journey (welcome, staff coverage, payment process, wrapping, etc.).
  • Ensure a luxurious store environment, ensuring store processes that guarantee an impeccable store appearance (e.g., displays, cleaning, status of the furniture, employee grooming).
Who you are
  • Previous experience of about 5/7 years in a similar role within Fashion & Luxury Retail contexts
  • A business-driven professional with a deep understanding of client development and high-end customer service as well as strong sense of luxury
  • A brand ambassador who embodies the sophistication and heritage of Bottega Veneta and embrace the brand image
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as strong results orientation
  • Strong analytical – numerical sensitivity and competence in the management of budget
  • Talented in managing, inspiring, coaching and motivating a team
  • Strong communication skills, engaging, positive and team-player mentality
  • Fluency in English and Italian is mandatory, any other language is considered a plus
