A renewable energy solutions provider is seeking a Solution Engineer / Technical Sales professional. Responsibilities include providing pre-sales technical support, coordinating with sales and product teams, and developing technical proposals. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 3+ years in the industry, preferably in photovoltaic systems. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. This role is based in Italy with a focus on technical sales activities.

Competenze

  • Minimum 3 years relevant industry experience preferred.
  • Pre-sales technical position experience in photovoltaic systems preferred.
  • Familiar with product solution process and business processes.

Position:

Solution Engineer / Technical Sales

Base Location:

Italy (Milan preferred) or Benelux / Germany / Japan / Spain / Nordic

A. Main Purpose of the Role
  • Responsible for pre-sales technical support, bidding support, and other work.
  • Responsible for the application design of photovoltaic / energy storage system.
  • Compile Photovoltaic and Energy Storage system technical proposal according to different product types.
  • Lead conversation with customers and participate in technical marketing activities.
  • Lead conversation with local technical partners / suppliers and coordinate internal resources to complete integrations.
  • Collect user requirements, industry trends, technology evolution, and organize the integration of technical solutions.
  • Customer on-site Service such as on-site training, system commissioning and pre-start work.
B. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Project: Support Sales Team and coordinate with product team to define technical solutions. Creation of technical proposal including system description, scope of work, product specifications. Tracking the status of project status and progress. Creation of Maintenance Procedures for Mars Renewable scope for supply equipment Project technical and economic study, bidding strategy defining. Provide on-site training services and technical support on system commissioning & pre-start work.
  • Customer: Provide technical support upon request from commercial team to help the success of product sales. Perform technical sales activities and interface directly with customers to answer questions and resolve issues. Develop and maintain the customer relationship on the technical interface, influence the key personnel of technical decision‑making. Perform feasibility studies on BESS project and present the analysis to customers.
  • Market: Collect feedbacks on the typical application cases of Mars product to support case study and publicity planning. Perform product launching activities, and supports the exhibition, forum and other marketing activities.
  • Product: Collect customer and market feedback on Mars product, propose suggestions on product function and performance optimization, and provide input for product planning. Collect information such as market demand change, technical trend, competitor's product technical analysis, technical marketing activity planning and implementation plan. Perform Root Cause Analysis on system failures.
  • Capability building: Self‑professional ability improvement, internal experience sharing, sales training, etc.
C. Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree or above in electrical engineering, electronic technology, power system, automation or related science and engineering.
  2. More than 3 years of relevant industry experience is preferred; Presales technical position or more than 1 year of pre‑sales related experience in the field of Photovoltaic System, Electric System, Power Electronics.
  3. Basic knowledge of photovoltaic system and Energy storage system and design capability of product application; Familiar with product solution process and relevant business processes.
  4. Strong organization and excellent time management skills.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  6. Automation, SCADA programming experience is preferred.
  7. Power systems Design (e.g. Power System Analysis, Power system protection, Grid analysis) is preferred.
  8. Energy Storage working experience is preferred.
  9. An understanding of variable frequency drives (AC & DC) and their applications is preferred.
  10. Experience in product development and design and familiarity with relevant simulation software (such as PVsyst, Matlab, Digsilent or PSS / E) are preferred.
