Longi Solar cerca un BESS Delivery & Service Engineer (Utility Scale) per guidare l’esecuzione e il supporto al lifecycle di progetti BESS di grande scala, dopo la chiusura del contratto.

Il ruolo coordina la consegna tecnica, commissioning e O&M con EPC, operatori di rete e stakeholder di progetto, assicurando conformità a specifiche, tempistiche e sicurezza sul campo.

Competenze

• Laurea in Ingegneria Elettrica, Sistemi di Potenza o Ingegneria Energetica.
• 2–5 anni di esperienza in progetti utility-scale rinnovabili o infrastrutture di energia.
• Certificazioni per lavorare in cantiere sul sito.
• Esperienza con grandi BESS, solare + storage o infrastrutture di rete preferita.

Mansioni

• Gestire la consegna e il lifecycle di progetti BESS su scala utility.
• Coordinare con EPC, integratori e fornitori per l’installazione e la messa in servizio.
• Sviluppare piani di commissioning e verifiche di integrazione grid.
• Gestire O&M e manutenzione preventiva/correttiva post COD.
• Interfacciarsi con operatori di rete e partner tecnici per la risoluzione di problemi.

Position Overview

The BESS Delivery & Service Engineer (Utility Scale) is responsible for the execution and lifecycle support of large-scale battery energy storage projects after the project is secured by the sales and presales teams.

The role manages the technical delivery, commissioning, and operational & maintenance support of utility-scale BESS projects, working closely with EPC contractors, grid operators, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Handover from Sales / Presales

• Take over BESS projects from the sales and presales teams after contract signing.
• Review technical proposals, system configurations, and service scope.
• Confirm system design and project requirements with internal teams and customers including: System design, Grid requirements, Performance guarantees, Project schedules，etc
• Ensure project milestones are achieved according to schedule and budget.

2. Project Commissioning Planning and Execution

• Manage the full lifecycle delivery of utility-scale BESS projects.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, integrators, and equipment suppliers. Guide EPC for the equipment unloading, installation etc.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, grid requirements, and safety standards.

3. Commissioning & Grid Integration

• Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists for BESS projects.
• Conduct commissioning for battery racks, BMS (Battery Management System), PCS (Power Conversion System), EMS (Energy Management System) and MV transformer.
• Validate integration of electrical, control, and communication systems.
• Conduct grid compliance and performance verification tests
• Work with grid operators and technical partners to complete system integration and SAT.
• Work with technical support teams to resolve technical issues during commissioning.
• Ensure successful handover to operations.

4. Operations & Maintenance Service Management

• Provide O&M service after Commercial Operation Date (COD).
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on BESS/PCS/EMS
• Perform remote operations to support maintenance and fault resolution
• Conduct site inspections, diagnostics, and testing using specialist equipment
• Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety standards and HSE regulations in related countries
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure quality and compliance of third-party works
• Support commissioning, upgrades, and major repairs
• Review technical documentation and contribute to maintenance procedures, RAMS, and method statements
• Liaise with OEMs and suppliers on maintenance processes and technical clarifications
• Support annual maintenance planning for BESS assets
• Provide O&M Training to customer O&M team and subcontractor

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years’ experience in utility-scale renewable energy or power infrastructure projects.
• Necessary Certifications to work on site
• Experience with large-scale BESS, solar + storage, or grid infrastructure preferred.
• Strong understanding of Grid integration, Power systems, Energy management systems, High-voltage systems, HSE

Skills

• Strong technical knowledge of BESS, LV systems, inverters, EMS
• Knowledge of grid compliance and power system integration
• Ability to manage multiple technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Willingness to travel to project sites
