Jobtailor is seeking a backend software engineer to design, implement, and evolve distributed systems. You will work on backend components, ensure robust testing, and participate in cross-functional teams with internal and partner developers.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of experience, strong Linux and networking knowledge, and hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git. Proficiency in English and Italian is preferred.

• 2–4 years of experience in backend or distributed software systems

• Design limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software
• Analyze designs and determine coding, programming, and integration activities based on objectives and project guidelines
• Execute and write portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation
• Identify and debug code issues and suggest changes or improvements
• Participate in project teams with software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners
• Develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for assigned systems portions or subsystems
• Collaborate and communicate on software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution
