Responsibilities

For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:

• At least 8 years of professional experience working as a Platform Engineer, with proven expertise in Azure environment;
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles and practices, with a focus on cloud-native development and deployment methodologies;
• Extensive knowledge with Azure platform, architecture and best practices - including relevant Azure services to cloud software development, AKS, networking, storage and other services crucial to Kubernetes deployment;
• Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies and Kubernetes, including cluster administration, application deployment, networking and security;
• Understanding of open-source tools and technologies commonly used in Kubernetes environments (FluxCD, Kong and Linkerd) and their integration with Azure;
• Experience with CI / CD pipelines and GitOps principles, ideally with expertise in GitHub Actions or similar tools, and their integration with Kubernetes and Azure Resource Manager;
• Experience with SDLC, secure CI / CD practices and Agile methodologies;
• Knowledgeable of IaC and Terraform, particularly for Azure and Kubernetes deployments;
• Proficiency in programming languages - like Go, C#, JavaScript, Python - and scripting languages - like Bash or Shell;
• Understanding of user experience (UX) and developer experience (DevX) concepts, focusing on designing and building user-friendly cloud-based tools and platforms;
• Strong background of security best practices and zero-trust principles;
• Fluency in English (B2 / C1 Level);
• Availability to work remotely, based in Portugal.
