Are you a young engineer with a passion for software, embedded systems, or testing? Would you like to work in a structured, highly technological environment and contribute to the development of real‑time and safety‑critical solutions for the avionics sector? Then you might be the person we're looking for! TXT e‑Tech, part of TXT group, is looking for a Firmware Software Engineer & Tester to join its Aerospace & Defence Business Unit. Previous experience in the avionics sector is not required: we are looking for curiosity, strong technical foundations, and a desire to grow.

Main responsibilities:

• Unit, integration, and verification testing in both simulated environments and on real hardware;
• Writing and analyzing software requirements for avionics systems;
• Integration with avionics communication protocols (ARINC429, AFDX, CAN bus, etc.);
• Architectural design of embedded and firmware solutions;
• Development of low-level drivers and firmware for onboard computers using low-level programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Ada95);
• Participation in hardware testing and avionics certification campaigns.

Technical skills required:

• Embedded systems and microcontrollers (e.g., STM32, Arduino, Nucleo boards);
• Programming in C, C++, or Ada95;
• University projects involving sensors, communication protocols, software testing, or PCB design.

The following will be considered a plus:

• Experience with real-time or safety‑critical systems;
• Bare-metal or RTOS-based development and testing;
• Knowledge of communication systems (TCP/IP, UDP, FTP);
• Experience with file systems, custom boards, or validation tools;
• Basic knowledge of avionics standards and protocols: DO-178C, ARINC 429/664, Mil-1553, CAN bus.

The ideal candidate is proactive, with a good command of the English language. Has a strong team-oriented mindset, attention to detail when following project specifications and is goal-oriented whilst respecting deadlines.

Education: Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in a STEM field.
