A leading technology company is seeking an enthusiastic AUTOMATION SOFTWARE ENGINEER in Naples or Genoa, Italy. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing web applications and a solid background in UI and UX design. Responsibilities include requirement management, supporting software operations, and documenting solutions. The role offers a collaborative international environment with opportunities for travel.

Competenze

• At least 3 years in development of web applications for both front end (client side) and back end (server side).
• Knowledge of server-side programming languages: Java, Python, C#/.Net, etc.
• Upper intermediate English level required.

Mansioni

• Support the proper requirements management for all phases of the software lifecycle.
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of complete solutions.

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated AUTOMATION SOFTWARE ENGINEER who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The position is based in Naples or Genoa - Italy.

Location: Naples or Genoa, Italy. Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Accountabilities

• Support the proper requirements management for all the phases of the software lifecycle
• Contribute to the design and the implementation of a complete solution (modules, documentation and tools)
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
• Contribute to the correct operation of the software on the applicable platforms
• Provide proper level of support to other functional units (RAMS, Verification, Test & Commissioning, etc.)
• Apply common methodologies, technical solutions and best practices in coherence with the Development function

Education and Experience

• Education: Master/Bachelor degree in Computer/Electronics/Telecommunications/Automation Engineering
• Experience: At least 3 years in development of web applications for both front end (client side) and back end (server side)

• Strong background in web application development
• Front-end frameworks: at least one, preferred Angular
• Back-end frameworks: at least one, preferred Spring Boot and Node.js
• HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
• Server-side programming languages: Java, Python, C#/.Net, etc.
• Unit and integration testing, continuous integration
• SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB)
• Familiar with microservice pattern, preferred Docker
• Familiar with Linux

Language

English: upper intermediate level required
