The Job:

The Automation QA Engineer role within Kuoni Tumlare involves delivering testing across various projects and individual IT developments & applications. Working closely with software developers to analyze and resolve defects, this role is crucial for ensuring quality delivery and maintenance of software and applications.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Collaborating with business analysts and software developers to define the scope of testing for legacy systems and the build of new web-based operational systems.
2. Providing accurate estimates and feedback for project scheduling and contributing to the planning of agreed testing activities.
3. Designing and maintaining all test script documentation for formal review with the Product Manager prior to testing.
4. Testing software in all phases of the development cycle from early to release stages and BAU, working on various in-house and external systems.
5. Executing both automated and manual testing methods (functional/regression).
6. Reviewing actual results against expected results, in accordance with the prescribed acceptance criteria.
7. Analyzing, reporting, and tracking test issues and re-testing fixes on both testing and live stages.
8. Working with software developers to analyze and resolve defects identified during all test phases.
9. Supporting Business Analysis and Support tasks as needed.

To succeed in the role you must have:

1. Experience with all technical and common project methodology expertise in Quality Assurance.
2. 3+ years of previous experience in an automation QA role working on BSS applications and transformation projects.
3. Experience with automation frameworks and relevant tools for web-based and desktop applications.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of automation principles, practices, and white box and black box testing techniques.
5. Ability to create and maintain a growing suite of automation tests, expanding test coverage when new features are developed.
6. Experience with API Automation.
7. Contributing to unit testing, integration, and end-to-end tests when required.
8. Identifying and raising bugs in our tracking system (JIRA) and following them until their resolution.
9. Travel industry knowledge is an advantage.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
