Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking an Automation Machinery Engineer to lead development of industrial termination machines for the appliance industry. The role involves managing full lifecycle projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving innovation to meet performance and cost targets.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in product development and 2+ years in industrial automation, with CAD proficiency (PTC Creo/SolidWorks/Autodesk Inventor) and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related field.
• More than 3 years of product development/engineering experience.
• Minimum 2 years in industrial automation.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical/mechatronic design.
• Experience leading Design and Process FMEA and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead machine development projects from concept to commissioning.
• Act as technical lead, coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Drive innovation to improve product competitiveness.
• Develop machines meeting performance, cost, reliability targets.
• Collaborate with global suppliers and review supplier designs.
• Ensure compliance with CE and applicable standards.
• Lead root-cause analysis and risk assessments (FMEA).
• Provide on-site support for testing, installation, and startup.
• Prepare technical specs, drawings, and documentation.
• Review designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
