The Amazon Logistics (AMZL) team is looking to hire an experienced, innovative, hands‑on, and customer-obsessed Automation Engineer to join Australia Engineering team. In this role, the Automation Engineer will be responsible to define specifications and monitoring performance of the Material Handling Equipment in our AU Last Mile delivery Network. This role requires an engineer with experience in automation, engineering, planning and analysis of the Material Handling Equipment in Delivery Stations.
The successful candidate will partner with Automation Engineering, Field and Design Engineering, Reliability and Maintenance Engineering, Process Engineering, Facilities, and Operations leaders to effectively operate and deploy Material Handling Equipment across Amazon's last mile network. This role involves regular communication with partner teams from Japan, Europe and WW to support parallel development projects.
This role will be based in either Sydney or Melbourne. The position requires regular domestic and international travel (approximately 25% of work time).
