Job summary

TMF Group in Lombardy, Italy, is seeking an Associate Accountant to support the team supervisor in delivering accurate accounting, tax and reporting commitments for a portfolio of clients. You will prepare accounts, ensure VAT compliance, calculate monthly withholding tax, assist with tax returns and payroll data reporting, and create queries and reports for internal and client use.

Strong English (B2) and MS Office proficiency are required, with up to 5 years in similar roles.

The primary responsibility of the Associate Accountant is to work with the Supervisor of the team to meet the accounting, tax, and other reporting commitments of the relevant clients.

The role is responsible for achieving individual goals and contributing to broader departmental objectives. Furthermore, the Associate Accountant ensures the timely and accurate preparation of accounts, calculations, and daily delivery of high-quality services to a portfolio of assigned clients.

Key Requirements

• Good knowledge of English (B2)
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
• Knowledge of the Profis system is considered a plus
• High school diploma and/or degree in Economics
• Up to 5 years’ experience in similar organizations
• Work in compliance with company procedures and related standards
• Strong client service skills and the ability to meet required deadlines
• Organized and accountable approach to work
• Understanding of regulatory requirements for companies in Italy (statutory deadlines, filing requirements, etc.)
• Problem-solving approach
• Contribute to team success as a team member
