St. Louis Arc is hiring a full-time Assistant Support Manager to lead frontline care and support staff. You will oversee daily living activities, coordinate with nursing plans, and mentor new staff while ensuring accurate documentation and safety standards.

The role includes stepping in as interim Support Manager as needed, with opportunities for growth, health benefits, retirement plans, and time off. Training in CPR/FA, L1MA, and Mandt is provided at no cost.

Competenze

  • High school diploma required; some college preferred.
  • Two+ years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities or related fields.
  • Some supervisory experience in a related field preferred.

Mansioni

  • Maintain understanding of 2–6 individuals’ plans and apply appropriate implementation.
  • Assist daily living skills: hygiene, meals, dressing, and environment upkeep.
  • Transport individuals to activities and appointments.
  • Mentor and assist new staff: daily notes, orientation, supervision of medication passes.
  • Ensure Daily Note completion and review per standards.
  • Collaborate with nursing to implement plans (meds, supports, diets, transportation).
  • Execute tasks assigned by the Support Manager.
  • Serve as interim Support Manager in their absence.

The Assistant Support Manager is a full-time (40 hours/week) role earning $24.00/hour

What you will do:
  • Maintain an understanding of 2-6 individuals’ plans and appropriate implementation practices
  • Actively engage individual’s growth in daily living skills including, but not limited to, hygiene support, meal preparation, dressing, and maintaining a clean environment
  • Transport individuals to and from activities and scheduled appointments
  • Assist and mentor new staff: daily notes, worksite orientation, and supervised medication passes
  • Understand and implement standards for Daily Note completion and review
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to follow and implement nursing plans (medications, physical supports, diets, and transportation to doctor’s appointments) and ensure staff have an understanding of expectations
  • Execute all tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Support Manager
  • Act as interim Support Manager in the Support Manager’s absence

  • High school diploma

  • Some supervisory experience in a related field preferred
